Coats; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Patrick. Patrick graduated from Cape Fear Christian Academy in 1985 and continued his studies at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in Laurinburg where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He was currently employed with Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia where he was the Comptroller for the Business Office, Student Housing Coordinator, and the Assistant Secretary to the Board of Trustees. He is survived by his mother, Beatrice P. Coats of Lillington, sister, Rebecca C. Blair and husband Jon of Apex and nephews, Cameron and Kellen Blair. Husband of Peggy Stewart Currin. Mr. Robert Larry Currin, 76, of Lillington passed away at his home. He was born in Harnett County, the son of the late James Robert and Eloise Rae Johnson Currin. Larry was a graduate of Buies Creek School and Campbell University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. After serving in the military, he returned to work as an auditor with First Citizens Bank in Smithfield. Larry later sold office supplies and founded Currin's Business Machines in 1977 with his wife Peggy. After selling his business, he became the manager of the campus bookstore at Campbell University and retired in 2005. He was an active member of Lillington Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, chairman of the Deacons, member of numerous committees, RA leader, active Sunday school member and also a member of the Baptist Men's Group. Larry was a member of the Lillington Rotary Club for many years serving as President and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of the board of directors for Mid South Bank and PNC. Larry also served as a member of the Lillington ABC Board. Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy Stewart Currin of the home; daughter, Catherine Currin Jones of Lillington; 2 grandchildren, Currin Lane Jones and William Robert Jones both of Lillington; sister, Judith Currin Wrenn and husband Bill of Fuquay-Varina; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements were handled by O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home of Lillington, NC. A memorial service was held at Lillington Baptist Church with burial in Harnett Memorial Park.
