Location - Gardners Twp. about 1000' south of Hwy 42, about 0.21 mile west of Tartt's Mill Rd (SR 1502).
Maintained; enclosed with chain link fence. 57 graves (17 with readable stone or marker).

(Marker) Toisnot Baptist Church -- Established 1756. A meeting house 16 x 18 feet was built here on one acre given by John Thomas and licensed by the Edgecombe County Court on September 24, 1759. A new site near the crossroads, 3.5 miles west, was given by the heirs of Arthur Dew on December 19, 1802.
(Marker) THOMAS GRAVEYARD -- Many early members of Toisnot Baptist Church lie near in unmarked graves. The Thomases continued to bury here for a century after the church was moved in 1803. Rev. John Thomas, Esq. 1705-1788 first pastor, planter, county judge. Rev. Jonathan Thomas 1735-1775 first moderator of Kehukee Baptist Association Nov. 6, 1769.
