Location - Off White Dirt Road near the Beulah community.

Directions: From the intersection of I-77 and highway 89, go on 89 west for 0.6 mile, turn left on Beulah road for 0.9 mile, turn right on White Dirt Road for 0.6 mile, stop and park on side of drive on right of White Dirt Road before crossing bridge over Fisher River. On the right side of the drive go up the steep hill - stay on the crest of the ridge for about 100 yards. The cemetery is on the crest of the ridge.

Harley Hodges took Jack Luffman to the cemetery. Mr Hodges told that his father had said there were 26 people in the Hodges family buried there, among them Bartholomew Hodges, whose cabin still stands across the river from the graveyard. It is one of the older historic sites in the county.

Husband of 1) Mahalah Gillespie Hodges, m. 13 Jan 1817 in Surry Co, NC and 2) Nancy Gentry Hodges, m. 26 Jan 1863. Bald, blind at age 87, mind at 100 yrs "clear as the noon-day sun." Member, Fisher River Primitive Baptist Church. Used to visit absentee members and urge them to attend.

Wife of Drury Bartholomew Hodges. Daughter of Elijah Gillespie and Mary Raybourn Gillespie.

Dinah is presumed to have been buried in this cemetery with her parents; she died in Surry County, and is not buried in Carroll Co.,VA with her Husband and his third Wife.
