Location - On original James Scarlett grant on Moore's Branch of the Eno. Is now adjacent to driveway leading to Bass home.

Survey - This cemetery was surveyed by Margaret Nygard and Jane Bass on February 23, 1975.

Graves, Marked - There were 9 marked graves, possibly 2 others, with only 1 grave identified.

Current Status - Rectangular cemetery, approx. 30' X 23', surrounded by dry rock wall, is on original grant of James Scarlett on Moore's Branch of the Eno. Cemetery is now adjacent to the driveway leading to the Bass home. Wall with no entrance has been relaid and may now incorporate some of the original gravestones which appear to be missing. Trees have grown up in the cemetery which contains 9 visible graves and perhaps 2 others. All visible graves are marked by rough fieldstones. Only one of these now has clearly and deeply incised inscription: S. S ., July 1817. This is the grave of Stephen Scarlett, presumably one of the sons of James and Elizabeth Scarlett.
