      In February 1998, Margaret H. Teta recorded 262 grave markers. On 24 September 1999, Will M. Heiser measured the cemetery and checked several grave markers. In 1980, Virginia N. Surviving relatives include his wife Dorothy Sturdivant Braxton, three sons Vernon Braxton of Apex, Glenn Braxton and wife Penny of Garner, Robert Braxton and wife Robin of Goldston, one daughter Jane Dougherty and husband Richard of Whispering Pines, one brother Charm Braxton and wife Faye of Pittsboro, one sister Pheobia Mann of Pittsboro, four grandchildren Brian Braxton and wife Crystal, Chris Braxton and wife Danielle, Kirby Ellis and husband James, Eric Braxton and wife Ashley, and six great-grandchildren Parys, Addie, Camden, Hayden, Henley, and Finleigh. Arrangements were handled by Donaldson Funeral Home & Cremation Griffin Chapel. Services were held at Pittsboro Baptist Church with burial in the Church cemetery with Military Rites. Military marker.
