On 3 February 2003 Elizabeth Hains and Jane Pyle inventoried 182 gravestone markers and noted both fieldstone markers and spaces indicating other burials. The earliest recorded date of death is 1902 (infant son of Tod R. and Ella C. Edwards); the earliest recorded date of birth is 16 Feb 1847 (Jordan Dorsett). Julie King-McDaniel, Ken McDaniel, Tom Miller, Glyn Taylor, and Susan Carpenter surveyed and photographed the cemetery on 7 October 2024, recording 248 burials. The number of unmarked burials was not estimated.

Miscellaneous information: The earliest recorded date of birth in this cemetery is 16 Feb 1847 for Jordan Dorsett. We know that a free person of color, Jordan Chavers, with that birthdate lived in (white) Dorsett households as a child and young man, so that he later took the Dorsett name is a plausible suggestion. Jordan's death certificate indicated that he died in 1930, but also that his mother was Elizabeth Chavers. Research on apprenticeships involving free children of color found that there was an apprentice named Jordan, whose mother was Elizabeth Chavers. In the apprenticeship records, Jordan is listed as Jordan Chavers and his birthdate is 16 Feb 1847--the date on Jordan Dorsett's marker in the Corinth cemetery. Jordan, his mother, and younger sister were living in the household of Robert Dorsett. Jordan Chavers was found in various Dorsett households in 1850 through 1870. Marriage records indicate that Jordan and Alpha were married in 1877. Sometime between 1877 and 1900 Jordan apparently began using the last name Dorsett. The 1900-1920 censuses show Jordan and Alpha Dorsett in Matthews Township, owning their own home. Jordan is variously shown as a saddler and harness repairer, and appears to have owned his own shop next to the Farmer's Alliance Store in Siler City.
