Significant events: Rebecca Kirby Parrish reports that this was the family cemetery of Ace (or Asa) Riggsbee, and that it was maintained by family about 75 years ago when she was a child. The 1850 census lists Asa and Elizabeth Riggsbee with five children..
Miscellaneous information: Gerland Oldham reported in 1989 that stone markers had been used by an unsuspecting owner to build a wall. John Clauser investigated the cemetery (calling it Rigsby/Rigsbey/Rigsbury) in 2006 for Chatham Downs Shopping Center, and registered it with the State Office of Archaeology as 31CH803. By 2007 Clauser's flags had mostly disappeared but the site was still recognizable as a cemetery, with depressions, some stones, a little periwinkle..
