      Location - southeast of Henderson, off the north side of Garrett Rd (SR-1538) on the old Savage Farm.

      Directions: from Henderson, take highway 39 south. Turn left onto Garrett Road. Go past Southern Vance High School (on the left) and Mt. Carmel Methodist Church (on the right). About a quarter mile after passing Mt Carmel Church, there is a long driveway on the left leading to the Savage Farm. The cemetery is located on the farm.

      The property is now owned by one of the daughters of Rowland and Hattie Savage and is private property. Permission must be obtained from the owner before visiting the cemetery.

      Additional Information: Mary Elizabeth Brame was the niece of Hattie Farmer Savage. When Mary's mother, Roberta Farmer Johnston Huff, died giving birth to her third child, Hattie and Rowland took Mary in and raised her as their own. All the other people buried here are sons and daughters of Hattie and Rowland.
