      Directions: From intersection of Renfro St and E. Pine St (NC Hwy 103) in Mt. Airy, go east on E. Pine St for 6.7 miles and turn left on Damascus Way. Go a short distance and the cemetery will be on the right. It is surrounded by a 4 ft. high chain link fence with no lock on the gate.

      This was a full and complete survey of burials and photos as found on June 4, 2014. The cemetery is on Damascus Way which is about 100 yds east of the church. Names and photos were taken without any reference to a beginning point.

      In many cases we have added full names on the stones even if some only had the initials and we also provided the month and days to the stone is they only showed years, where it could be determined from available public records. Also, the names of parents or spouses are shown if they could be obtained from available records. As with any research, if you see any factual errors please send an email for a correction.

      The cemetery is not maintained very well and several of the markers have become shrouded by bushes making them difficult to see. There are also several flat stones indicating earlier burials and some old metal funeral home stakes of prior burials, but they are so worn you cannot read the names, or the paper that used to be in the marker is missing.
