009    ASHBURN FAMILY CEMETERY

Location: Off Reed Island Lane, Shoals, Surry Co., NC.

Directions: From intersection of US Hwy 52 and NC Hwy 268 in Pilot Mtn, go west on NC Hwy 268 for .25 mile and turn left on Shoals Rd (SR 2048). Then go 2.6 miles and turn right on Pilot Church Rd (SR 2057). Then go .5 mile and turn right on Corner Rd (SR 2058). Then go .5 mile and turn right on Reed Island Lane (gravel and dirt) and follow it for .5 mile to an old 2-story yellow farm house. Before this house there will be a greenhouse on the right and an equipment (farm) shop on the left. Beginning at the dirt road adjacent to the right side of the yellow house, go about .3 mile to a small clearing at the top of a hill. Cemetery is in the woods on the right. Use old vehicle or 4-wheel drive for the .3 mile trip from the farm house to the cemetery.
