      Location - In Little River Township, at 6412 Kiger Road (SR #1541) just east of the intersection with Normans Road (SR #1597). This is the old Walker home place (c. 1812). Cemetery is to the east of the house, surrounded by a rock wall.

      Survey - This cemetery was surveyed on February 10, 1976. Cemetery pictures provided by Margaret Jones in April 2003. Another view from back of cemetery. Photographs of some of the gravestones by Milton Forsyth in March 2005, who also revised the location directions.

      Graves, Marked - There were 15 marked graves.

      Graves, Unmarked - There were 5 unmarked graves (2 of which were identified as the graves of two of Ellen and Robert Walker's children).

      Current Status - Approximately 40' X 40' and surrounded by rock wall. Also, this is the Walker Cemetery shown on G. P. Stout's map of Orange County.

      • Died at Camp Hancock, Augusta, Ga. Co. 73, M.T.D. (Picture on stone) American Legion Marker. Footstone: F.S.W.
  5. Walker, George Thomas   (b. 1888 - d. 3 Jul 1977)
      • Aged 89 Years.

        Newspaper Obituary: D. Sunday, 3 Jul 1977. The funeral for George Thomas Walker, 89, who died Sunday, will be held at 2 P.M. today in Walker's Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Luaton Pettit. Burial will be in the Walker Family Cemetery. Surviving are 2 sisters Mrs. J. R. Coleman and Mrs. R. B. Tilley, both of Durham; and one brother, Clyde C. Walker of Rougemont. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

        Will of Robert Walker (will Book E, p. 107) dated 6 Feb 1826, proved May 1826 wife Elenor (Ellen ?); dau Elizabeth Patterson 'to be excluded'; sons John, William, Robert F (b. 1807), Philip (b. 8 Jan 1810), George W. (underage); daus Sally, Polley, Peggy, Jane; granddaughter Elizabeth Walker; leaves $25 in trust for Rev. Wm. M. Green - Prot. Epis. Church.

        According to a note from Miss Myrtle Walker, Robert Walker came from England to Canada, then from Canada to North Carolina on two horses. (Miss Walker is a sister of George Thomas Walker).
