      Location - In Chapel Hill Township NW of Chapel Hill-Carrboro, on a slight rise in a large field about 300 feet (100 yards) south of Dairyland Road (SR #1177) from a point on the road about 0.9 mi. east of Dodson's Crossroads (shortly after you cross a small branch when going east). Now destroyed; the coordinates are a reasonably accurate approximation. Located on private property.

      The sign in the photograph stands on Dodson's Crossroads Road at Carlisle Road. It was erected by Mrs. Mary Andrews Brooke and is currently maintained by Mr. Everette Andrews, whose family also furnished information on the location of the cemetery.

      Survey - This cemetery was documented in 1973, based on the notes of Mrs. Mary Andrews Brooke.

      Status (2006) - The cemetery was lost to cultivation in the early 1970s. The land was later acquired by Mr. Robert Nutter, afterward operator of the Maple View Farms Dairy. Mary Andrews Brooke (Mrs. Edward Brooke) reported that here were buried those persons listed in this survey. Click here to see the original Mary Andrews Brooke notes transcription.
