068    TERRELL'S CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY [OLD] - BLACK (ORG. 1868)

Location - In Bingham Township in a woodland south of Old Greensboro Road (SR #1005) from the new church and cemetery. Private property surrounding the old cemetery makes it difficult to access.

Survey - This cemetery was surveyed on March 4, 1976. Milton Forsyth and Mr. Carl S. Durham, who resided near the cemetery, visited it on 3 Mar 2006 and obtained photographs.

Graves, Marked - There were 18 marked graves.

Graves, Unmarked - There were approx. 146 unmarked fieldstones and depressions.

Comment - To enter the cemetery go south on Ford Road (SR #1949 - formerly Atwater Road); at a horse ranch veer SW (right at "Y") where the newer Ford Rd extended turns SE (see alternate route below). This road leads to a house, then an old overgrown road/wagon track continues south past the approximately one-half acre cemetery on the right in a woodland. The old church is said to have been on the east side of the road where the wagon track begins. The site may now be approached on the road/wagon track from the south off Ford Rd extended.
