Located at the Carolina Trace County Club, between the first and second hole, off to the left is an old cemetery. The land that now makes up Carolina Trace was a combination of bottom lands and farms before it was developed. There are several small cemeteries dotted throughout Trace.

Husband of Nancy Dye Gaster. Jacob Gaster was originally buried on land formerly owned by his father Henry Gaster with only fieldstones marking the grave. In 2007 as part of the Lee County Centennial Celebration his remains were moved to the Lee County Courthouse Lawn as he was the only known Revolutionary participant from Lee County. A military marker for Jacob can also be found in the Gaster Cemetery at Carolina Trace Golf Community but his body is actually buried in the lawn at the Courthouse. Jacob and Nancy had 6 children
