      In Bentonville Township near the old Harper place and the Bentonville Battleground monument: In memory of the Confederate dead, erected under the auspices of the Goldsboro Rifles, 10 Oct 1894. About 360 unknown dead are buried here. 13 graves. Also recorded in Genealogical records, Vol II DAR, 1947-1948.
