      • Wife of Jack Levi Currin. Mary Emogene McPhail Currin, 88, of Lillington died at Universal Healthcare in Lillington. She was born in Harnett County, the daughter of the late Colon and Ida Mason McPhail. Emogene was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Currin. She was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church. Emogene was a homemaker and later retired from Western Harnett High School as a cafeteria worker. Emogene is survived by a son, Dwight Currin and wife Tammy of Lillington, daughter, Donna Schoolcraft and husband Donald of Sanford, son, Roger Currin and wife Jean of Cameron, daughter, Karen Stone and husband Rob of Lillington, 7 grandchildren, Justice Reyes, Ashley Thibodeaux, Christopher Schoolcraft, Jarett Currin, Danielle Currin, Tre Stone and Jackie Stone, 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Blanche Withers of Broadway. Arrangements were handled by O'Quinn Funeral Home of Lillington, NC. Services were held at Spring Hill United Methodist Church in Lillington, with burial in the church cemetery. Portrait.
