HISTORY: This church was formally organized on 9 July 1853, and the first church building was completed in 1855 under the leadership of Philip Mock. The first trustees included John T. Holder, William Goslin, Eugene Cannon, Daniel Doub, John Dull, and Thomas Long. Between 1910 and 1914 a new church building was constructed to replace the first log structure. The third building was erected in 1937.
