199    TILLEY, JAMES P. FAMILY

Located in Gorman area of Oak Grove Township on unnamed road turning west off East Geer Street (SR 1670) west of Summerlin Road and south of the Southern Railroad crossing.

This maintained but unused cemetery has at least 45 graves, 34 of which have legible markers dated 1891 to 1980, enclosed by a chain link fence. Canvassed by Lucille Glenn (1980).

Notes from a survey taken about 1990: Martha Hardcastle Glenn Tilley was the first to be buried here. She lived nearby with her second husband James P. Tilley, and one daughter Martha Ann Tilley. She was buried in 1872. Later, James P. Tilley married Agnes Crabtree raising a large family. This cemetery is still being used today, the latest being Nannie Tilley on August 4, 1986.
