      On 5 March 1999, Will M. Heiser recorded 7 grave markers and 4 illegible stones. Charles Thomas provided some photographs taken in April of 2010. Chris Whitted photographed the site and markers on 9 Feb 2020.

      Deed AH-195, 1838, from Sterling B. Everett to John D. Toomer, 700 acres, "except therefrom one-fourth of an acre of ground laid off so as to include near the center thereof the old Lucas Family burying ground, which was reserved in the sale of said land and premises to the said Sterling by Abraham Given and Sarah Ann his wife a family burying ground for them and their heirs forever." [Deed AD-129, 28 July 1834, 700 acres from Abraham and Sarah Ann Given to Sterling B. Everett.]
