Much information about him is inscribed on his tombstone - he professed religion in the year 1843, commenced preaching gospel 1848. He was buried at the family cemetery in southern Caswell Co., NC. On September 29, 1982, the remains from this cemetery were disinterred and moved to Baynes Baptist Church cemetery, Caswell Co., NC.
