        Not sure what this info is, John Rutland died 1883, was married to Amelia Godwin. No evidence of a grave.

      • Husband of Amelia Galloway Swain. She buried at Galloway Cemetery, Bolivia, NC. Son of Capt. Luke Swain and Rebecca Peyton Swain. This is John Sr. No evidence of grave here. Interesting their son John C. Jr is not listed but also no evidence of a grave (father of John Rutland).

      • Husband of Amelia F. Godwin Swain. Son of Amelia Galloway. (This is my great great grandfather.)
  22. Swain, William Herbert   (b. 25 Feb 1870 - d. 5 Oct 1934)
      • Husband of (1) Florence Catherine Price Swain (children Vira Swain Jacobs, Mary Julia Swain, Francis Herbert Swain, Sr.) and (2) Amelia Frances Smith Swain (children John Clifton Swain, Willaim Leon Swain, Charles Z. Swain). Son of John Rutland Swain and Amelia F. Godwin Swain. NOTE: no evidence of grave, but living uncle FH Swain, Jr showed me where he is buried, stated there was no money for a stone, it was depression!

      • Husband of Margaret Jane Davis Trout. Son of Capt. William Trout and Ann D. Trout. I do not find a stone for him, but according to records, he is buried here.
  24. Trout, John Davis   (b. 8 Sep 1845 - d. 11 Sep 1872)
      • Son of George W. Trout and Margaret Jane Davis Trout. On same headstone with mother Margaret. "Born Sept 8, 1845, Lost off ?? Island Lighthouse December 11, 1872".
  25. Trout, Margaret Jane Davis   (b. 1824 - d. 11 Jan 1865)
      • Wife of George W. Trout. (headstone is on ground and now broken); combined with son John Davis Trout. I don't find any connection to Swain family, but I believe my uncle may have told me the family allowed them to be buried in the cemetery.
  26. Unknown, Unknown   (b. Unknown - d. Unknown)
      • There are two large slabs horizontal on ground, unable to read the text, but uncle said he was told they were markers for sailors that died at sea (I believe he said Norwegian). Second large slab.
  27. Waters, Lettie Augusta Swain   (b. 13 Apr 1875 - d. 16 Sep 1905)
      • Wife of Capt. John Vincent Waters. Daughter of John Rutland Swain and Amelia F. Godwin Swain. Sister of William Herbert Swain.
